Good Luck in the final   15/10/2016

With just over 24 hours to go to the CityJet London Senior Hurling Final St Gabriels are ready to take on the current champions Robert Emmets in a much anticipated decider.
Sunday's showpiece event is a repeat of last year's final when Robert Emmetts upset the odds to defeat a strongly fancied St Gabriels side.

The tables may have turned somewhat in the meantime with the ebb and flow of players across the Irish sea this year. While St Gabriels have been rebuilding this year, there may be no doubt that Robert Emmetts are going into Sunday's game as favourites to do the double.

However, St Gabriels are in the final on merit having topped the group stage of the competition.  Making an impact this year in the senior ranks are guys like Fergus Fahey, Ronan Boyle, Adam Holden, Ian Mackessy, Paddy Kelly, Ronan Royston, David O Gorman and Fiachra Connellan. With experienced players like James Barrett, Neil Rogers, Enda Cooney, Frankie Tierney, David Coffey, Tom Lally, Derek Morkam, Sean Gilchrist and Michael Ivors in the mix, the team has a nice balance.

The St Gabriels team manager Martin Corcoran and selectors Tom Moroney and Ollie Sheehy have a full squad available and are in confident mood going into the final. The team is captained by Michael Ivors (Tipperary) as St Gabriels chase their 17th London SHC title. We wish Michael and all the lads the best of luck.
